Berjocht:User *
[boarne bewurkje]Thanks you for your effort in creating the {{Berjocht:User *}} language templates. It's unfortunate, however, that your grasp of the language of this wiki is unsufficient to ask beforehand whether these pages were actually wanted. As it happens, we don't usually create other language duplicates, and the language templates were intentionally placed under Meidogger/.
I trust you'll understand how to request removal of the pages. Yet, I'm sure you were trying to solve a problem, so feel free to discuss a proper solution on our general talk page. Aliter 3 sep 2009, 00.34 (CEST)
- I am not sure if I understood you 100% right.
- I happened to see some
Berjocht:User *
on Special:WantedTemplates. I made them redirect to the corresponding existingBerjocht:Meidogger/Taal *
pages, and to few non-existing ones that I shall create soom. If I created any non-redirectingBerjocht:User *
pages, then I made a mistake. - Should
Berjocht:User *
be avoided? And the pages currently using them be altered to useBerjocht:Meidogger/Taal *
instead? Then I was indeed doing too much, and I must apoligize, and have to clean them up.
- I happened to see some
- Please let me know whether I am right or wrong. Thank you. --Purodha Blissenbach (Oerlis) 3 sep 2009, 02.23 (CEST)
Thanks for letting me know where you got the information. I had made the logical assumption that since it was impossible to generate Wanted Pages, and templates were pages, we couldn't have Wanted Templates either. Now that I know the assumption was false, I'll keep an eye on it. As far as I can see, most of it is either mistakes in translation and folk from other wikis assuming blindly that we have everyhting they have back home.
Correct: We do have a Babel template, which in most cases will give the users exactly what they want. If they must use separate language boxes, they can use the Frisian version. If they can't find them, well even little birdies know to open their mouth when they need something. In general, editing user pages to correct templates is considered acceptable on fy:.
Apoligy accepted. Aliter 3 sep 2009, 20.48 (CEST)
Your account will be renamed
[boarne bewurkje]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Purodha. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Purodha~fywiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
