Deutsch: Der Aachener Dom, abends gesehen von Norden. Gut zu sehen ist in der Mitte der um das Jahr 800 erbaute achteckige Teil, das Oktogon. Links im Bild ist der gotische Chor von etwa 1350, rechts der Westturm.
Français : La cathédrale d'Aix-la-Chapelle, vue du nord le soir. La partie la plus ancienne fut construite vers l'an 800 en forme octogonale. Ici on peut la voir au centre. Le chœur à la gauche date du quatorzième siècle.
