Rudolf I of Germany, 1273 - 1291 At this Hoftag (imperial diet) Rudolf invested his sons, Albert and Rudolf II, with the duchies of Austria and Styria and so laid the foundation of the House of Habsburg. The King of Germany (King of the Romans) Rudolf I at the Hoftag in Augsburg. On scroll in exergue: "27.
