Из праздничного яруса иконостаса собора.

Приписывая икону кисти Андрея Рублева, В. Г. Брюсова отмечала в рублевском переосмыслении канонической композиции две особенности. Во-первых, Лазарь показан не на фоне черной пещеры, а в сконцентированном освещении, в свете славы Христа. Вторая особенность - перестановка двух групп: иудеев и сопровождающих Христа апостолов.
