Nederlands: Aanloop Tweede Wereldoorlog. Schaatsen, Elfstedentocht 1940, Bauke de Vries en F.J. van den Berg komen te Vrouwbuurtstermolen aan. Op de achtergrond een windmolen zonder wieken. Een grote driekleur(vlag) wappert in de straffe winterwind. Nederland, Harlingen, 30 januari 1940. De tweede man op de afbeelding is luitenant F. J. van der Berg uit Amersfoort, met wie de eerste man, Bauke de Vries uit St. Nicolaasga, onder dienst lag. Het was mobilisatietijd. De foto is niet genomen in Harlingen maar in Vrouwbuurtstermolen. |
