This article should be renamed. The older Scottish language is Gaelic, not Lowland Scots.

Thanks for your opinion. However, could you slightly elaborate on the issue:

You find it offensive that the Lallands name for Lallands is "Scots", while the Gaelic name for Gaelic is "Gàidhlig"?

or

You find it offensive that Frisians, in their own language, call "Scots" "Skotsk", and "Gàidhlig" "Gaelysk"?

or

You find it offensive that the Frisian Wikipedia describes the Frisian concept of Skotsk as Skotsk and will describe the Frisian concept of "Gaelysk" as Gaelysk?

or

You find something else offensive.

I hope that in the last case, you'll start your elaboration by pointing out where we mention it.

My Frisian isn't very good, but I couldn't see any part of the article claiming that Scots is the only national language of Scotland. Are you objecting to Frisians calling the language "Scots"? If so that's a little odd - however old Gaelic may be (and bear in mind it's not Scotland's indiginous language) is doesn't call itself "Albais" or something like that. The English for Scots is Scots, the Scots for Scots is Scots. The Frisian for Scots is Skotsk... where's the problem? - Duncan Sneddon

I couldn't see it either, but there will always be something that causes some some people to protest, for real or fun. That's why I gave the poster the opportunity to explain, in case someone really did feel there was a reason to write our 'Gaelsk' as 'Skotsk'. Aliter 12 maaie 2009, 20.34 (CEST)
